Mike’s new site is live! Featuring newer artwork, instead of the ancient crap on his old site.
Daily Poop will remain here for a while. But for news directly from Mike, he has a blog on the new site as well. There is no guarantee that he will be updating that frequently either.

Hello-
So I just returned from Eastern Oregon University where I curently have a show. The University is in a small town called La Grande and it was the similar vibe of being on the Andy Griffith Show or Northern Exposure. The people were real nice and the scenery was beautiful, as it is nestled in bewteen the mounatins. By the end of my stay I was somewhat a local celeberity as while on morning walks to get coffee, people honked and waved… that or they are just real nice. My camera crapped out early on so I was only able to get a few pictures of the show… I wish i would have been able to get some of the local flare. Especially the bartender at the LongBranch Bar, jeannie… she was something out of a david lynch movie… about 4 feet tall and 75 years old. you could just make out her wig over the bar, and if you ever go there don’t say the “F” word or she’ll toss you out. Also one of the pieces I sold from the show was to another bartender, who in the movie of La Grande would be played by Peter Lory.
so happy new year…

Mike has a show coming up in January 2008. In Oregon or something. I have to check the postcard he sent me. I don’t have it with me right now, but I feel the need to update his “long-neglected blog.”* I’ll keep you folks posted.

Mike was recently featured on KQED’s Gallery Crawl (excerpt below)
“In July 2006, Gallery Crawl found two adjoining galleries hidden on the rather unassuming Clementina Street in SOMA: Braunstein/Quay Gallery and Hosfelt Gallery. Although they share an address, the two galleries differ in atmosphere as well as art.
